Club Mission Statement

At North Hykeham Tae Kwon Do, our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive community where people of all ages and abilities can thrive. We believe in the power of friendship, support, and shared growth through martial arts.

Here, every student is encouraged to embrace challenges — including failure — as an essential part of the journey. With compassion and determination, we help one another face our limitations, grow in confidence, and become the best version of ourselves

NHTKD Safeguarding & Welfare: Core Values and Principles

NHTKD is committed to providing a safe, supportive learning/caring environment for all our students. We take our role in safeguarding and the protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults and promotion of their welfare very seriously.

  • The welfare of children and vulnerable people in sport is the paramount consideration
  • Everyone has the right to participate in sport in a safe environment
  • We will work in partnership with parents/carers and club members
  • We place importance on listening and creating forums to listen to the voices of all those engaged with the club
  • We are committed to standards of good practice in information sharing and confidentiality
  • We aim to create a fair and welcoming environment for all through our active promotion of equality, diversity, inclusivity and equity.

We ask that parents/ carers and club members join with us in the commitment to take safeguarding very seriously. Never keep concerns about the safety of our students to yourself. Remember, if you have any questions regarding safeguarding or have any concerns regarding the safety and welfare of a student, please speak to the Instructor / Club Welfare Officers.
